Globalization, being a powerful engine for international development is the primary reason behind the University’s unending support to its faculty members’ desire in attaining the highest level of development.

Faculty members take additional courses in development in their own and other related disciplines in addition to training in their own discipline. Through this innovative approach to the study of development and globalization, faculty member gain greater analytical tools to use as both practitioners and researchers in the field.

Priorities: Research & International Program Development

Enhancement of UPHS Faculty Members’ international expertise by assisting them in conducting international research or other kinds of academic creative activities. All proposals must fully discuss the nature of the research and/or creative activity proposed and the international nature of this work. Researches and activities must also be gearing towards further internationalization of the university through implementation of development programs.

Eligibility

All members of the faculty at University of Perpetual Help (Jonelta System & Dalta System) are eligible to submit proposals. Applicants must anticipate remaining at UPHS in a faculty position for the duration of the project submitted.

External Funding

Support for the faculty in searching for and acquiring external funding for their research.

Activities Supported

The University will provide support for all activities related to projects meeting the requirements specified. Applications will not be considered for the purpose of attending international conferences or meetings unless such activities can take place as part of the activities an applicant wishes to undertake, so long as they are not the primary purpose of the proposal. In addition, the University will not normally provide funds to meet the cost of individuals other than UPHS faculty and professional staff, even if they are involved in an approved project of an eligible UPHS applicant.

Awardee Responsibilities

After the completion of a project, faculty will submit a brief summary of the project's activities. This should be accomplished within three months of project completion.
