The Office of International and External Affairs welcome scholars and students from around the world. The Office provides orientation, counseling and services to international students and scholars in immigration, financial, personal and cross-cultural issues. We are committed to being a reliable, efficient, and professional resource, and we consider ourselves your advocates in the University and beyond.
Established as a system-wide office in January 2007, OIEA proactively facilitates, promotes, and organizes the international programs, events, support, and initiatives to more fully diversify the university in the international perspectives in all aspects of teaching, research and service This is achieved through:

International On-the-Job Training, that provides opportunity to the students to gain international experience by completing part of their education in a foreign host country and to foster mutual understanding and cooperation between the host country and the Philippines;

International Program Development, which provides assistance to faculty members in proposal development and the identification of external funding.

International Bilateral Agreements and Participation
in networks and organizations.

International Visitor Coordination, which advises administrative staff and faculty members on international matters and develops university-wide policies and procedures pertaining to international programs.


ANNOUNCING A NEW GRADUATE SCHOOL OFFERING

At the request of Dr. Simon Sung of Philippine Oriental Medical Group, the Graduate School of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna has developed a new specialization in Oriental Medicine under the Master of Science in Clinical Programs Development (MSCPD) for Korean medical doctors. The MOA signing was accomplished last August 28, 2008 at the office of the Executive Vice President for International and External Affairs at the university in Biņan, Laguna, Philippines.

A pioneer program, the MSCPD in Oriental Medicine offers medical practitioners the opportunity to gain expertise in a unique area of health care following the guidelines of the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care, DOH. Like the other specializations offered under this master's degree, the academic preparation is rigorous and demanding with students fulfilling not only the requirements of a master's degree but also learning from experts in the field.

Prior to beginning the 48 unit master's degree, students will undergo a fifteen week preparatory pogrom consisting of human anatomy and histology with dissection, English proficiency and Medical Terminology. Upon successful completion of this preparatory phase the student will enroll in three tri-semesters of actual graduate subjects. Ample opportunity is afforded for practical application, in class first and later in the community. All students are expected to develop a specific clinical program in Oriental Medicine as compliance of the thesis requirement. The project will be presented and defended before a anal of faculty members from the graduate school.
